Bearded woman
An Indian-origin woman in the UK, who is suffering from polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) that results in excessive hair growth, has embraced her condition and is growing a beard after being baptised as a Sikh.
Harnaam Kaur's beard has been part of her quest to overcome years of bullying to cope with her appearance.
Kaur, a model with six-inch long facial hair, has become the youngest woman in the world to have a full beard, according to the Guinness World Records.
A citizen of Berkshire, London, Harnaam Kaur (24) was diagnosed with PCOS when she was just 11.
She described her beard as part of her quest to overcome years of bullying to cope with her appearance.
Body positivity campaigner Kaur, said it was "humbling" to be included in the list. She said that she had been struggling with hair growth on her face, chest and arms since she was a kid and was called 'beardo', 'shemale' and 'sheman' for it.
The Bearded Dame, Body Confidence activist, Anti-Bullying activist, Beautifully Different, Queen Beard are just some of the synonyms this lady has aptly chosen for herself.
In March 2016 she became the first female with a beard to walk the runway at London Fashion Week.
